10 Signs Reiki Might Be Calling You
Sometimes people discover Reiki through a recommendation from a friend.
Sometimes they stumble across it online.
And sometimes there is a quieter feeling.
A sense of curiosity.
A feeling that something keeps drawing their attention back to Reiki, even if they cannot fully explain why.
Over the years, I've spoken with many people who describe feeling "called" towards Reiki long before they ever booked a session or attended a course.
If that sounds familiar, here are some common signs that Reiki might be calling you.
1. You Keep Hearing About Reiki
Perhaps Reiki keeps appearing in conversations, on social media or in books you're reading.
What once felt unfamiliar suddenly seems to be everywhere, getting your attention and peaking your interest.
Many people notice Reiki appearing repeatedly before they decide to explore it further.
2. You're Looking for More Balance
Life can sometimes feel busy, overwhelming or emotionally demanding.
You may find yourself longing for more calm, space and connection.
Reiki often appeals to people who are seeking greater balance in their lives.
3. Traditional Self-Care No Longer Feels Enough
Perhaps you've tried many different approaches to managing stress and wellbeing.
You may feel there is something deeper you would like to explore.
For some people, Reiki becomes a natural next step.
4. You're Curious but Can't Explain Why
Not everyone is drawn to Reiki because they fully understand it.
Many people simply feel curious.
Sometimes curiosity itself is enough reason to explore.
5. You Want to Reconnect With Yourself
Modern life can leave us feeling disconnected from our own needs.
Reiki creates space to slow down, listen inwardly and reconnect with yourself.
6. You're Interested in Personal Growth
Many people begin Reiki for relaxation and wellbeing but discover it also supports self-awareness and personal development.
The journey often unfolds in unexpected ways.
7. You Feel Drawn Towards Healing Work
You may feel called to support others, whether professionally or simply within your family and community.
Learning Reiki often begins with supporting yourself before sharing it with others.
8. You're Seeking Something Gentle
Reiki is not about forcing change.
Its gentle nature appeals to people who are looking for a softer and more supportive approach to wellbeing.
9. You Keep Coming Back to the Idea
You read about Reiki.
Then move on.
Then find yourself thinking about it again weeks or months later.
This is something I hear surprisingly often.
10. Something Just Resonates
Sometimes there isn't a logical explanation.
Something simply feels right.
And that feeling can be enough to begin exploring.
A Gentle Invitation
Not everyone who feels drawn towards Reiki will choose to learn it immediately.
Some begin with a Reiki session.
Others attend a Reiki course.
Some simply spend time learning more before taking the next step.
There is no right timeline.
The important thing is to honour your own curiosity and explore what feels right for you.
